You can now use your SNAP Card to purchase a £15 or £25 iTunes Voucher and start downloading songs form the world's most popular online music store.
SNAP Card holders can now top-up at their local Post Office. Simply hand over your SNAP Card to the assistant behind the counter in the same way as for other retailers, and tell them the amount you wish to load onto the card: £20, £25, £30, £40, £50, £75 or £100.
Please note that no card can have a balance of more than £100.
The Post Office assistant will swipe your card through a top-up terminal and will give you a receipt once you have paid.
* Please note that when topping up at the Post Office, funds will usually be available in your SNAP Account on the next working day, but may take two or more working days to become available.
Sending SNAPDo you want to send SNAP funds to friends or family so they can shop online? Now when you log in to MySNAP you can send money to anybody even if they don't already have a SNAP Card. Simply choose the amount you want to send them, enter their e-mail address or mobile phone number and they will receive a message containing a new SNAP Code already loaded with the amount you have sent them. Be sure to include your name in the message as they will need to contact you to get the PIN number you created for the new card. | ![]() |
To make managing your SNAP Cards easier, we have introduced the SNAP Wallet. To register for a SNAP Wallet, simply log in to MySNAP, click on the link and complete the required security questions.
The next time you go to MySNAP, you will have the option of entering your SNAP Wallet username and password and going straight to your SNAP Wallet, rather than using your PIN as usual to log in directly to a single card. To maintain security, you will still need to supply your PIN each time you make a transaction using a SNAP Card in your SNAP Wallet.
From your SNAP Wallet, you will have access to all the original features of SNAP plus new features including Age Verification.
We listened! For some people, the MySNAP mini-statement was simply not enough.
Now you can view all of your transactions in detail, and search, sort, filter and even export them to your favourite spreadsheet. You can view your transactions by date range, type or category, and then print them out for your records or download them in a CSV file to store or use with other programs.
All SNAP Cards are protected by default from use at merchants who sell goods which are not appropriate for children. If you are an adult and wish to have your SNAP Card released from this restriction, you can now use the Age Verification service.
If you want to take advantage of this service, register for a SNAP Wallet and then click on the Age Verification link. You will then be asked to enter a telephone number that the verification service can call you on. Once you have completed the call successfully, you will receive a confirmation code to enter, after which your SNAP Wallet will be Age Verified.
Once your SNAP Wallet has been Age Verified, you will be able to add or remove Age Verification from any of the cards in your SNAP Wallet. You can also complete Age Verification for individual SNAP Cards when you buy from a merchant whose goods require Age Verification.
Remember to be responsible. Age Verified SNAP cards should never be given to other people.
